TED STUDEBAKER IN VIETNAM

SAINT JUDAS PASSION

Steve Engle's Lenten musical that explores the character and motivations of Judas. Presented at the Brethren's Annual Conference in 1973. This 30th Anniversary CD was digitally remastered and enhanced from the original 1973 LP album recorded at RCA Studios, Hollywood, with a new number, "Shalom," and added orchestration. 24 tracks.

RUMORS OF ANGELS - A Story of Mary & Joseph

By Engle, A 2-disc "live" recording of the premier performance at Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA, December 1999. Sometimes described as a "Christmas Fiddler on the Roof," "Rumors" uses a Broadway Musical format to create a stirring and memorable retelling of the Christmas Story and an exploration of the relationship between Mary & Joseph up to and including the Nativity. 27 tracks.

NAVAJO CHANTS MEDLEY - Barbara Enberg, Leland Wilson, Steve Engle, Teri Carmichael, Susan Welch, Shirlee Welch, the La Verne Chorus

During Easter Vacation of 1970, the La Verne California Church of the Brethren youth group was involved in a work-experience project at the former Brethren Lybrook Navajo Mission near the "Four Corners" area of New Mexico. This short Navajo Chant Medley is a product of that week's exposure to the stark, rugged, mystical Navajo lands, their legends, chants, and the beauty of their poetry.
The singers and instrumentalists (with the exception of the strings) were La Verne Brethren youth, University of La Verne students, and six adults who kindly assisted. Many thanks to them and to Far West producer/recording engineer and friend, Jim Covington.
This CD is a digitally remastered transcription from the Far West 1971 LP album "Look to the Light," produced by Jim Covington and Steve Engle. Also a new instrumental by Steve.
